My Junior semester of New tribes is almost here! Only a few more weeks until I walk the halls again with my class mates.
Things have been busy since school got out, I've been a Nanny part time for some kids from my church for most of the summer. When I started this year I thought I would be teaching them things like how to play a game I brought with me or how to make crafts. But instead they have shown me things that I am fixing with the Lords help or just improving on the things I have learned.
During the summer I have also been going to Grace churches College life group that meets on Thursday nights. That has been such an encouragement to me. The studies can be applied to life and you can easily talk to others about what you've learned! I have gained so many great relationships with some fantastic people who really have a heart for the Lord and his will!
I've had some great times with my family. We went to a The High Land Games, which is a bunch of men in kilts throwing logs and rocks around! We've seen several movies together and done a bunch of other things that were fun.
I have decided that after I graduate I am going to be a Counselor at Camp Selah for the summer. Then I want to go to Kenya with Extreme Response International.
This is a missions group that focuses mainly on humanitarian out reaches. They have several orphanages, Medical facilities, and food kitchens that give people the care they need so that they are willing to hear the gospel from us when the time comes. I would be spending a few weeks to a month helping in what ever way I can. I am not quite sure when this is going to happen because I will have to raise support to pay for the whole thing.
Please Pray for me that I will finish this school year well and that I continue to follow God's will!
