My Junior semester of New tribes is almost here! Only a few more weeks until I walk the halls again with my class mates.
Things have been busy since school got out, I've been a Nanny part time for some kids from my church for most of the summer. When I started this year I thought I would be teaching them things like how to play a game I brought with me or how to make crafts. But instead they have shown me things that I am fixing with the Lords help or just improving on the things I have learned.
During the summer I have also been going to Grace churches College life group that meets on Thursday nights. That has been such an encouragement to me. The studies can be applied to life and you can easily talk to others about what you've learned! I have gained so many great relationships with some fantastic people who really have a heart for the Lord and his will!
I've had some great times with my family. We went to a The High Land Games, which is a bunch of men in kilts throwing logs and rocks around! We've seen several movies together and done a bunch of other things that were fun.
I have decided that after I graduate I am going to be a Counselor at Camp Selah for the summer. Then I want to go to Kenya with Extreme Response International.
This is a missions group that focuses mainly on humanitarian out reaches. They have several orphanages, Medical facilities, and food kitchens that give people the care they need so that they are willing to hear the gospel from us when the time comes. I would be spending a few weeks to a month helping in what ever way I can. I am not quite sure when this is going to happen because I will have to raise support to pay for the whole thing.
Please Pray for me that I will finish this school year well and that I continue to follow God's will!

Sooo Bible School!
I have been going to New Tribes Bible Institute since August 18th 2012. I have loved every minute of it, even though I may not have shown it. I have learned so much in my short time here then I have in all 19 years of going to church every Sunday. God has opened my eyes to his infinite glory more then I thought possible.
I have learned about how to properly study a passage from the bible. The proper chronological telling of the Pentateuch. That there is no way on earth that any of us can ever fulfill The Mosaic Law no matter how hard we try. How a truly godly relationship is supposed to go. And so much more has been poured into my brain over the last few months. If I were to truly tell you all I learned here I'd be here for several days typing, so for every ones sake I just gave a small overview.
Life here has been good for the most part. All of the single girls stay on the third floor of the building and sometimes that can be challenging because of all the emotions flying around at times. I have had to turn to the Lord so much more than I have in the past for guidance in relationships not only with girls but with how to interact with the guys.
I don't have any blood brothers but being here has really helped me see how much guys struggle having clean minds as much as women do. I have come to respect the men around me and I want to do the best I can not to distract them from their work.
Back to girls, I have gained some friends that I will keep for a life time. Some of them are easy to work with others I have to really work at keeping communication open and finding ways to love them. This has been a struggle for me cause I always want to show people I love them by giving them a hug. I realized very quickly that that is not every ones love language. I am having to learn how each person in the way they will take it. My girlfriend Mel, all I have to do is just spend time with her, we don't have to be ding anything. I sat and read my homework while she did her Student Work Program. We had been having some differences and when I did that she knew that I still loved her. I even felt better by making her feel better.
SWP, Student Work Program. This is a thing we do here at the school where each student has a task that involves cleaning or organizing or office work. This keeps the cost of the school down since the don't have to pay a janitor. I am cleaning the first floor girls bathroom closest to the dinning hall. I didn't really like it when I first started, but I found out that no one could hear what I was doing if I just keep the door closed. I have made many memories in that bathroom just by listening and singing to my music. A couple pf times I won't bring music and it's just my time to talk to God out loud. A lot of times I'll be talking to my self and I'll find the answer just by voicing my thoughts.
Homework is ok just really challenging, I find that I really have no social life out side of a couple of people. Homework is your life until you have it done which is a lot longer time cause both our teacher, Rich Bruce and Mr. Sullivan giving a lot of it. The weekends are the best not just because we can rest but because it means more time to do work and things. I find myself doing most of the work after dinner, yes I'll do some before but I have things like SWP and dorm cleaning detail so others stuff takes up that time. With all this homework I've come to realize that I can't watch as much television as I want to but you have to give up one thing if it means being good at another.
Well that is about it I'll be doing some more of this from now on, it may be a couple of weeks between posts but I want to share more about what's going on in my life!
Love you all, Your sister in Christ, -Courtney J. C.

I Miss You By Courtney J.C.
So many people have written poems about how they miss a loved one who paced away or an old lover. I write to neither, but to a friend.
I miss your chuckle, that rumbled from your throat, when I got upset.
I miss the way you would always come to first for a hug when you had to leave.
I miss your eyes, so deep and intense you could break my straight face making me laugh.
I miss your beat up old car that broke down in my drive way and your dad had to come get you.
But how can I tell you to your face?
You never respond to anything I say on the internet or in texts.
So don't expect a reaction from me anymore.
There is one thing you can expect from me and that is........
I Miss You!

A poem I wrote for my Mom on her birthday!
God thought of you when,
He created the world.
God thought of you when,
He rested that seventh day.
God thought of you when,
He sent his son to earth.
God thought of you when,
He commanded him to die.
God thought of you when,
that same son rose victorious.
God thought of you when,
Your mom was pregnant.
God thought of you when,
She left never to return.
God thought of you when,
The Andrews brought you in.
God thought of you when,
You went to church with them.
God thought of you when,
You left for New Tribes.
God thought of you when,
You met dad there.
God thought of you when,
You married this goof.
God thought of you when,
The missions field wasn't for you.
God thought of you when,
You gave birth to us three.
God thought of you when,
He showed you OCC was your mission field.
God has thought of you every day of your life.
And I know I don't show it but I think of you.
When I put masscara on my long lashes.
When I put my shoes on and see that small pinky toe.
I think of you when I have to make a decision about life.
I think of you because your my mom and nothing will every change that! - Court

I got to work at Camp Selah this summer!!
This summer was the best summer I've ever had! I was a YSL at camp this year, and I had so much fun. I have gained so many great relationships, I don't think that I have loved anyone so much as the staff at camp this year!! It was an amazing growing experience I had to work with people from different backgrounds and educations! I love them all and I would do anything for them in their time of need!!!
Whoa stop I don't want to be an adalt!!!
Uuurg I don't want to get a job but I guess you got to do what you got to do!! It won't be as bad as I thought I just don't like change very much. I'll have to get use to that there's going to be a lot more change from now on.
